Blog Diez...

It has been a very interesting semester Natasha. And even though u dont like Puertoricans I did take your class seriously and learned more than I have in all of my other english classes ever. This semester did seem to pass bye really quickly. It does seem we started classes a week ago. But anyways, like everyone else says you should teach a humanities course. Cause your the SHIT!!!...lol...anyways I know I was kinda of a pain in the ass, but thats just the way I am and if not I wouldnt be me...lol...It was cool that you tried to scare all the slackers away and then being the conplete opposite throughout the semester. You are intimidating sometimes, but not enough to scare a Puertorican, you know!!!...lol...anyways great having a professor like you, and hope everything goes well with you and your family in the future...PEACE!!!

Blog 8...

It is true how you say we think that we are just college students and we cant do nothing about the issue. Those same words were the ones that went through my mind. What can I do? Well, after doing research and writing our group project I have seen that the important is not how you help the issue, but as long as you set your feet and contribute to the helping of the problem. There are so many ways one can spread there word these days, especially through the internet, that including: face book, my space, email, pop ups, advertisements, basically anywhere the public will see it. Im certainly happy i am doing this proposal essay with my group because it has definetly changed my way of thinking and understanding problems of our daily life and what I have to offer...

As I was reading every single wiki....these were those who were brought to my attention:

1st place-Micheal Pego U1F
2nd place- Arnold Cedeno U1F
3rd place- Evio Jorge U1F

I beleive these were the best of all blogs and therefore they received my nominations. They were not only excellent in presenting themselves to the audience, but to there page to the next level by adding quotes, videos, pictures, etc... Hope they win!!!

Blog 4...

I beleive the government is just bored and doesnt know what to do to them selves other than....you kno what i mean....and also if they are making this a big deal why are they concentrating in issues like these when there are way more important ones to correct. First of all the look of a person doesnt say anything of who he is or what he does, just like the problem with tattoos. The government will not do antything good if this is done. Not only blacks, whites, and now hispanics use that style these days. Its just a style!!!! Just like these old farts had there style with there pants up to there somach back in the days, we are just customizing our decade....Its part of the fashion revolution thats going on. Like we talked about in the other blogs about how celebrities are those that inspire us to dress. Its incredible how they can make something so big. I understand if they dont allow people using there pants like that in a certain places, but out in the public nobody should care. Its never gonna stop...thats all im sayin!!!

First, I want to say that these requirements or standarized tests are not given in PR, so i did not know none of these issues until now. Being my high school inside a military base, i did take standarized tests, but still not those that florida is requiring. Also, I dont agree either with the act because its true what they say about how kids that are being passed when they really shouldnt be passed. This what brings is problems with kids in the streets and to society itself. Like, the dood in the first video said, kids take their passing grades to there parents knowing that they really didnt accomplish anything. Therefore, this does not give them any potential to try hard and actually acheive something because no child will be left behind. Furthermore, they will drop school because its worthless, and make their way of life happen in the streets. This could be a definate reason why there is so many students within that drug environment. On the other hand, if they were forced to study and pass classes due to effort and grades, they are psychologically working for something, therefore thinking about goals in life they can complete. So there are some advantages, disadvantages, misconceptions, and misunderstandings with this act that tthe government must understand and take a look at it and analyze the situation.

Blog 2...

First of all, talking about how TV and fashion is what makes us dress and live the way we do is certainly true. If we didn't have a TV or any artist or celebrities, how will you dress?...I doubt I would be dressing the way I dress. Humans tend to have celebrities as there role models. I know i dress like them because I guess I like it and it looks like i'm a celebrity myself. So, mass media is definetly affecting our way of life. Now talking about the video and the North American Union, I think that it is completely false. I think that this video was made up and put on you tube or something. I had seen this video, but a different version of it. How can something like that, being so big, and not even said on the news, like immigration is being discussed everyday in Miami. I don't what to say about this. It sounds serious, but whoever did it was pretty good doing videos. Also, the video jumps from one subject to the other, which gives me another reason why not to believe it. Now, I dont like videos like this because they make you think, and I don't like thinking...lol...Anyways, I going to stick with my opinion, I thinks its Fake.

My first blog for ENC 1102...

Having written many essays in essay writing and ENC 1101 in the past two semesters has made me very confident about my writing and even more motivates me to write paragraphs everywhere I write for example: Facebook, Myspace, and now the new thing for me, blogger.com. Its cool to know that professors in college are up to date in technology and know what their students like. Natasha seems to be a cool teacher, but definitely strict and straight to the point with any curves. Having been in the first two sessions with her in class this semester, gave me doubts about her as a professor for me. If it wasn't until she told us to begin a blog and that would be our assignments, I would of probably thought this was gonna be a boring class. Now, having a blog makes this class an interesting one and gives me another site to check on every time I go on the Internet. This is a perfect way to communicate with professors and definitely a good way to a keep track of your assignments and your journal. I'm definitely excited about this semester at FIU and definitely about ENC 1102 with Natasha!!!
